Missed delivery

Had a delivery scheduled that extended to a 13 hour day and it didnt show. I wasnt able to contact anyone and wanted to know what was happening. I was set another delivery date, it arrived and the driver was great.

Unprofessional trucking company

When item was purchased, was told about shipping company as it does not deliver to non-commercial addresses, which as unprofessional as these drivers/trucks are, no wonder. Was told by dispatch, that item would arrive at warehouse by evening, 3/11/2020 and would be called to schedule pickup time. Item arrived 12 hours early as it was in warehouse at 6am 3/11/2020. Was not called to let me know item was ready for pickup nor that item had arrived. Called customer service and was told warehouse is not manned and no one there to talk to. customer service called me back after 20 minutes and told me there would be someone at warehouse from 9am-6pm. Was told if I am there at 9am, I can pick up item. I don't believe that anyone will be there as nothing I have been told to date was accurate. Have contacted seller that he needs to find a different shipper as SAIA is very UN professional. Have had deliveries to my home for years as me shop is there and been able off load all items delivered to include engines on pallets and the building occupied. All I needed was a professional shipper with properly equipped truck and no problems.

I scheduled a delivery of my items. They were supposed to be delivered yesterday, but they said they couldn't deliver yesterday because they needed a liftgate, and that wouldn't be available until today. We scheduled the delivery window from 12noon-5pm and I was informed that someone would have to be here to accept the delivery. We were home all day long. No one ever came to the door. No one ever attempted to deliver. I checked the tracking. It had it listed that the delivery window had been changed without my knowledge from 12-5 to 5-8. No one called to let me know. At 6:20, I decided to call the company and find out how much longer it was going to be. They said that their tracking info stated that the delivery had been refused. I told her that not only did I NOT refuse delivery, but that no one ever even attempted to deliver it. I asked if they would still deliver the package, but she said that the driver was going back to the terminal. They said they would follow up to reschedule a delivery. I purchased with Amazon through a 3rd party seller. I'll be talking to the seller, because my guess is that while I won't have to pay for it, I don't expect to see what I purchased any time soon if they have any say in it. They were unable to give me a new delivery date. They refused to have the driver still come out even though the second delivery date had said 5-8 and it wasn't even yet 8. Again without any notice to me, the delivery window was changed yet again to "all day appointment." I was basically told that they understood that I was angry, but there was no way of them making it right, nor did they really make any attempts at all to make things right. I'm hoping that the seller can send me another shipment with a different company, because this one is awful.

Someone contacted me 12/18/19 and scheduled my delivery for Friday 12/20/19 between 1PM-4PM. Around 1:30PM I contacted Saia to determine an ETA of my package. I was informed that they forgot to load my package (which is a Christmas gift for my son) on the truck but assured me that it would be up there on Monday, and they would contact me first thing Monday morning. I started calling Saia at 9:30 to get information. It is now 1:09PM and I've been getting the run around regarding the location of my package. Not a small package but a $900 package that was delivered to the terminal in Norfolk VA. Saia goes on to tell me they transferred my package to their partner trucking company Sureshot. Once I talked to Sureshot they stated Saia lied and they did not have my package.

Let me start out by saying, I have been a logistic coordinator for over 25 years. I can honestly say I have never dealt with a more corrupt carrier than SAIA. On my LAST shipment with them, they were late to pickup and claim they attempted to deliver to me, but there was nobody at my location to receive the shipment. I was personally here. The original quote for the shipment from Indianapolis, IN area to Chicago , IL area was $216.10. They billed me $797.37. That's almost 4 times the original quote. The additional fees were for their claimed "attempted delivery." Let me put this into perspective for those of you that might not understand the logistics of moving freight: Indy to Chicago = $216.10 or roughly $.29 (cents) per mile Chicago to Chicago for the redelivery fee = $581.27 or roughly $30.00 per mile Let that sink in for a minute! I disputed the "attempted delivery" charges. I sent screenshots of both UPS and FEDEX tracking from both websites showing I had packaged picked up the day SAIA says they attempted to deliver WELL past the time they claim their driver was at my location. They said they don't care and the charges will stand. They claim they have GPS saying the driver was at my location when they say he was. OK, that doesn't mean he "attempted to deliver". He never rang my door bell or came to the door. My UPS driver and FEDEX driver had no problem picking up/ delivering that day. I believe the driver was told to drove by my location, but not stop so they could charge me this outrageous "attempted delivery" fee.

Horrible Delivery Experience

I have been trying to get my products for my store delivered for 2 weeks now. The 1st attempt of delivery driver assigned to my delivery did not have the proper equipment on his truck to remove my product from his truck.

So he advised me to either get a forklift or get someone to help me unload the items from his truck. Renting a forklift is not feasible so I opted to get help removing the stuff from his truck. Which honestly doesn’t make any sense why as the customer am I responsible for removing items from your truck. It’s a safety hazard.

On the 2nd attempt of delivery, I have someone on site to help with removing the items. The drivers then tells me it’s going to take to long for my help to remove the items from his truck and that I would have to have a forklift. I was then contacted by your dispatch department to reschedule the delivery I explain to her the situation she then tells me she going to see what she can do and that she would give me a call back. That was Wednesday 10/30 it is now Monday 11/4 and I still dont have my delivery or a solution to the problem.

The delivery is needed to complete the construction of my store that is set to open next month.

Not only has this experience been horrible but it is holding of my store opening process. I am going to attach pictures that was sent to me from the driver in hopes of a resolution to this problem.

Received a delivery of line set cover for my mini split system from Pioneer and a box was smashed. Out of eight boxes, one smashed. Clearly delivering company fault. Claim was for $35.00. They emailed me today claiming not their fault. Case closed. Poor excuse for a trucking company. I told Pioneer not to use them any more. I wouldn’t

Zero Accountablity, Over Promised and Cost me Money

Shipping a vehicle Part from Florida to Wyoming should be pretty self explanatory and straight forward. We were given a quote that was higher than 4 others but I see SAIA Trucks on the road constantly. We were promised (5) day delivery and that I should receive the part in Laramie Wyoming on November 4, 2019. The Part arrived in Atlanta on November 2nd @ 8am and it has been sitting there since. Yesterday, I called SAIA and they told me it would be moving towards the destination yesterday Afternoon (Nov 4th) from Atlanta and the Delivery date had been moved to the 7th. Today (Nov 5th), the Part is still sitting in Atlanta and is not moving. Every Day that it gets delayed is another day that MY TRUCK is not on the road and I am not earning money for my Family. The Repairs to my truck are now being pushed back and my bills are stacking up. SAIA does not feel they are doing anything wrong and it will get there when it gets there, Instead of a Nov 4th Delivery, I am looking at Nov 11th or 12th at the earliest.... I would have been better off going with a different carrier. There were (3) that were more than HALF the Price....

STAY FAR AWAY

Everything that I have had either shipped out by this company or have had being shipped to me by this company has never once been delivered on time in almost 5 years. I have all vendors put a special note on our account that SAIA is never allowed to be used for anything for us. The newest is that it has taken them 6 days to deliver something from Chicago, IL to Omaha, NE this is a 7 hour drive are you F___ing serious, that still is not here and originally was to be delivered according to their website 4 days ago.

Saia was shipping missing parts to a building kit. They contacted me a week ago Friday while I was at work to schedule delivery. I got home too late to return their call. Called Monday. No callback. Called Tuesday, again no callback from appt clerk. Called again Wed and asked what do I do to schedule this, I NEED these parts. CSR scheduled delivery for btw 1-6 pm Friday. I had to cancel my Friday appts which cost me money and sat home to wait for delivery. Delivery didn't arrive til after 6 - I could have gone ahead and worked. Driver got an attitude and says "the notes say you won't be home til late afternoon" I said read further, it says I arranged to be home from 1 pm on. These parts, it turned out, had been sitting in their terminal just 45 minutes from my house, had I known that, I would have picked them up myself. They arrived in a semi trailer which couldn't fit in my drive so we unloaded in the road. Because of blocking traffic, I couldn't take the time to inspect them before driver left. The box looked pretty beat up - they are so badly damaged as to be COMPLETLY USELESS. I can't finish this building without these parts and I really need to finish this building, I need it for hay storage. By the time I get it done, all the available hay will be sold. There is NO excuse for this kind of carelessness. The parts look as if Saia employees took turns running over them with a fork truck while they sat for a week in the terminal. UNBELIEVABLE!

This company STINKS, worst shipper EVER

Long story short, I ordered a metal building kit from Arrow. Pieces of kit missing.

Company shipped the parts promptly but the package has been sitting at Saia terminal only 45 minutes from my house for SEVEN DAYS. They left a message a week ago Friday to schedule delivery appt. I arrived home too late to call back. I call Monday to schedule.

No callback. Call again Tuesday. No callback. Call Wed and ask why scheduling clerk won't call back.

CSR says she can schedule me. Schedules btw 1-6 pm on Friday for delivery. That really doesn't work for me but she says they have no morning deliveries. I cancel clients, which costs me $$, to sit home and wait, and wait, and wait.

Delivery doesn't arrive til after 6. I could have gone ahead and worked. Driver cops an attitude, says his notes say I won't be home til late afternoon. I say scroll down - further notes say I've arranged to be home from 1 pm on.

They arrive in a semi-trailer so they have to unload in the middle of the road and I can't check parts til they leave. One box very battered - I open it and the parts I have been waiting a week for, that I need this weekend in order to complete this nighmare of a so-called building, are completely mangled. Totally useless. What on earth did Saia DO with these parts while they say for a week in their terminal - run over them with a fork truck?

So disgusted and angry. Inexcusable.
